keep going is an indie prog rock band from portland, or
Keep Going draws on influences from indie rock, prog rock, and dream pop to create an atmospheric and deeply personal sound. The group’s name is drawn from the members’ guiding belief that we resist through each other. Through building community, creating and sharing our joy, and holding space for one another, we keep going.
Formed in 2018 in the Bay Area, Keep Going began as an electronic pop project, with founding members Erin Nelson and Ricardo Osuna crafting songs quietly in San Francisco apartments to avoid disturbing neighbors.
Those songs started taking shape in the throes of the pandemic when Erin and Ricardo exchanged music files remotely, honing their sound while living with family in Boise, Idaho. These formative years shaped the duo's songwriting, blending rich textures and introspective lyrics. In 2024, Keep Going transformed into a five-piece, adding friends and creative collaborators Alex Babcock (guitars and synth), Lea Weber (drums and percussion), and Daniel Neumeyer (lead guitar) – giving the project’s songs the shape they were always meant to take.
